Pastor Randy Dodd

Rev. Randy Dodd has served as Lead Pastor at Chicago Heights Church of the Nazarene since 2006. After graduating from Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN) with a Bachelors in Ministry, he began ministry as a Youth Pastor in Tennessee, Georgia and Colorado. During his youth ministry tenure, he also served as District Teen Camp Director, District NYI President, led numerous local church and district mission trips, and was a guest speaker at revivals, retreats and conferences. 

The Lord directed his path to Senior Pastorate ministry, and he has served four congregations in this capacity in Florida, Alabama and now in Illinois. Rev. Dodd is a gifted communicator and Bible teacher. His pulpit ministry is squarely rooted in the Word of God, communicating with understanding and application for everyone.

Rev. Dodd has a Master’s Degree from Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL) where he also serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Theology and Christian Ministry. He also serves the Chicago Central District as an Advisory Board member, Mission Area Director, as well as a member of the District Credentials Board.

His wife, Nancy, is an associate in the Office of Spiritual Development at Olivet Nazarene University. She earned a Masters of Business Administration from Olivet, where she coordinates chapel services, leads mission trips, and mentors students. At the church she coordinates special projects, sings in the choir, and has led Bible Studies. 

The Dodd’s have two sons: Tyler (married to Carla) of Nashville, Tennessee and Tyson, of Crete, Illinois. 

Rev. Dodd is a visionary leader with passion for introducing people to Jesus Christ, and helping them grow in their spiritual journey.
